one year

Today marks one year since Bernadette’s last seizure. We are deeply grateful for the peace this reprieve has afforded our little girl and our whole family. Truly, it has been a year of grace and blessing. We know that we could never have come so far alone. Thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers.

“I was pushed hard, so that I was falling, but the Lord helped me.
The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.”

volunteer tomatoes

Because I was busy tending to baby things, I never did plant our garden this spring. To my delight, a few of the heartier herbs reappeared without assistance. And much to my surprise, these tomato plants (behind Berna) volunteered. It reminds me of the time I planted a wildflower garden in high school and nothing came up--until the next year when it blossomed all on its own.

gifted

This weekend my dear friend Jen brought this beautiful quilt her mother made for Jill. Jen picked the fabrics and her mom did all the handiwork. What a special friend and what a special gift!
